Sports Massage
Sports massage involves manipulating the soft tissues to release tension, reduce pain and increase mobility. It encourages healing in the body, reducing recovery time after injury and can be used to prevent injury by maintaining muscular health, leading to improved sports performance.
Although the word "sports" is in the title, this type of massage is beneficial to all bodies. As well as the above benefits it can help reduce stress, correct muscle imbalances and bring an increased sense of wellbeing.

Alice trained at the North London School of Sports Massage, where she received her Level 5 BTEC in Sports Massage and Soft Remedial Tissue Therapy

Pregnancy & Postnatal Massage
During pregnancy, a woman's body undergoes many changes. Massage can help to reduce both physical and mental stress, relieve muscle and joint pain, ease discomfort, and improve sleep quality.
In addition to these benefits, postnatal massage can help a woman reconnect with her body after birth and support regulation of the nervous system, helping it shift from the sympathetic state (fight or flight) to the parasympathetic state (rest and digest).
Abdominal massage works across all five systems of flow - muscles and ligaments, lymphatic drainage, nerve supply, blood flow (arterial and venous), and energy flow - helping the body to function at its optimum level.

Alice received her training from Burrell Education, one of the leading educators in Pregnancy Massage, Remedial Therapy and Women's Health. She also had the privilege of receiving training from Joanne Anderson, a leading specialist in Abdominal Therapy and Postnatal Care.

Sports & Kinesiology Taping
Sports taping provides effective support to joints, helping athletes return to sport more quickly and safely following injury. It works by limiting excessive joint movement, reducing the risk of re-injury, and restoring confidence in using the joint during and after recovery.
Kinesiology Taping works with the body’s soft tissues, including the fascia, muscles, and lymphatic system. It can be used to help prevent injury, provide gentle support and stability to a specific area, restore normal muscle function, promote healing, reduce inflammation and swelling, and enhance proprioception.
Both Sports & Kinesiology Taping is included as part of the massage treatments if required.

Alice completed her CPD in Sports & Kinesiology Taping with Sports Therapy UK.
